Migration – Moving Into Our New Story

?????As I’ve mentioned, I absolutely love spring! There is something so uplifting in the birds singing, green things pushing up through the earth, and the realization that warmer days are ahead.  Despite the snow, I can feel a change in the air.  Spring really is going to come to Ohio after all!

In honor of my “spring-fever,” I used the Feathered Omens cards by Ted Andrews for my membership community‘s weekly reading.  The first card that fell out for the beginning of the week is “Migration” with a message of “Time to make a move.”

When I asked for guidance around this card, what came through was about how it is time for us to step out of the old stories and beliefs about what we are capable of and who we can be.  We no longer have to dim our light and be less than we truly are.  It is time to really shine!

And the most wonderful news is last week brought me three resources that are showing me how to make the shift to this new life track in ways that really work!  One of the most powerful tools is a book by Greg Kuhn called Why Quantum Physicists Do Not Fail.   Don’t let the title dissuade you – it is written in laymen’s terms and is actually a pretty quick read (I read it in about three hours).  In the book, Kuhn shares three steps and six tools to help you start rewiring your brain with new beliefs that are in alignment with what you really want in your life.  After all, according to Quantum Physics, our feelings and beliefs are what determines what our physical experience looks like.

The other book I read that I found really fascinating and helpful is The Atlantis Legacy by Jennifer Hoffman.  This book was really helpful in understanding the last ascension cycle and how many of us carry guilt, shame or fear around the roles we played during that time.  I found myself reading along finding it interesting, and then she would describe something and I’d burst into tears!  Clearly, there are some buried connections that needed to be brought to light.  I worked through the exercises she offers as part of the learning this last week and it was really amazing how different I felt after!

The other tool that was so helpful was the Tapping Solution World Summit. I’ve been sort of avoiding the whole tapping craze (probably a result of my Atlantis issues about following something everyone is excited about!), but a couple of the people I really admire were speakers this year for the Summit.  I ended up listening to a call with Cheryl Richardson about saying no first.  When she walked us through a tapping exercise, I could really feel the shifts that were happening in my system.  I also found I felt so much more comfortable being able to do what felt best for me, even if it meant saying no.  I ended up listening to several other presentations after that – including Donna Eden who I am a huge fan of.  Again, I was so excited by what I could feel changing in me!  I also started using the tapping technique in combination with what I had learned in the other two books and the results were astounding!

Just so you can see what I’m talking about, I’ll share some of what I was personally working on last week.  One of the beliefs that came up for me had to do with being seen.  I have this great desire to help others connect to the truth of who they are and why they are here – because doing so allows me to be who I am and do what I’m here to do – but I also had a subconscious belief that it isn’t safe to be too visible or to have too many people valuing what I have to offer.  As I worked with this belief (and several others that came up in connection with it), things started to change in my outer world immediately.  First, I put out an invitation to my community members to come on a women’s retreat to Hocking Hills.  It filled within three days.  Next, I got an invitation to do readings at Conversations & Co Girl’s Night Out event.  I had a whole night of working with really amazing people who were a total pleasure to connect with.  I also got asked to do ongoing weekly readings with one of my favorite clients which led to an idea of how to start sharing this process I’ve been using in a new coaching program.  I had someone who I adore join my coaching community, and also had sessions with two new people who I really loved working with.  There were several other experiences and events that showed something huge had changed, but I’m not going to keep listing them all here.  I just wanted to share this though because I am convinced following through with these techniques can be really life-changing in a beautiful way.  I am all about empowerment and for me, this protocol is a great way to experience just how powerful we can be.

Last night, I had my monthly community empowerment call and I shared about what I’ve been learning.  I also walked them through the steps I followed using money as an example, including a tapping exercise around money.   Normally, these calls are part of the membership gifts, but I felt that it was important to share this one with everyone who is interested this month.  You can listen here if you feel called to do so:  March Community Empowerment Call

We still have three more weeks of this powerful astrological period we are in.  I hope you take advantage of the opportunity to really free yourself from limiting beliefs of who you are, so you can step into spring ready to plant a life you love!

Sending much love to  you all!

Nancy

Animal Wisdom For Your Day! (Whatever Day You Come Upon It!)

Tricolored Heron

I felt called to pull one of the Native American Medicine Cards for us all (Jamie Sams and David Carson) and the card that fell out is Blue Heron.

Here is the message…

Self-Reflection:  Heron medicine is the power of knowing the self by discovering its gifts and facing its challenges. It is the ability to accept all feelings and opinions without denying any emotion or thought.  Heron flies over those who are unaware of who they are and where they belong in the world. Gently dropping a blue feather to them, Heron asks that they follow their intuition and begin the empowering journey of self-realization.”

And another part of the message… “The magnificence of your human spirit lies waiting for the joy of discovery, if you are courageous enough to follow the Water bird throughout the journey.  Heron reminds you that every traveler on life’s journey is a messenger, and that every destination is the beginning of a new life cycle on the Medicine Wheel.”

I love the message Blue Heron brings!  It is so fitting for this period we are in with our evolution!  My Spirit Guides keep telling me we are in the process of letting go of the old “stories” of who we are, so that we can release the limitations they impose on the expressions of our True Nature. An exciting time for sure, though I know it can also feel very confusing! If you feel like you could use some quick intuitive guidance, I’ve added a new 15 minute empowerment reading option.

Sending much love to you all!

Nancy

Mini-Reading for Your Day!

RobinGood Morning!

Maybe it was just wishful thinking, but I swear I heard a bird singing at daybreak today. Could it possibly mean that spring isn’t as far away as it seems??  Let’s hope that is the case!  In the meantime, here is a mini-reading from the Feathered Omen Oracle Card Deck by Ted Andrews. Enjoy!

Sea Gull:  Adjust behavior and communication

“Although often seen as pests, gulls are actually wonderful birds. They are shore birds, seldom venturing far from land but always staying close to bodies of water.  In particular, they are associated with the oceans and seas.  The world of the seas is filled with great mystery, power and magic. Water is the archetypal creative source.  It has great power that can bring life, death and rebirth into most areas of your life.  Animal messengers associated with this element are often signs that a new rhythm and flow is unfolding around you. This is particularly true of the Sea Gull.  The tides are shifting in your favor.  A myriad of possibilities are opening to you now – in all areas of your life.  In order to take advantage of them though, you must adjust your behavior and communicate in new ways.  Now is the time to develop subtleties in your communication and your behavior or opportunities will be lost.  Do not force, push or try to argue your way into anything new.  It will have the opposite effect and close the door on your efforts.  Tone down any bravado and other ostentatious behaviors. That is when others will notice and embrace your efforts.”

Additional Interpretation from Nancy…

When I ask my Guides about this, what I’m hearing is that we are in the process of breaking out of patterns of behavior that are grounded in fear/ego.  To do this though, we have to surrender into faith – faith that we are being 100% motivated and guided in each breath.  This means that we don’t have to “figure out” how to move forward as we are longing to do.  We just have to trust that the motivation to take action will appear when the opportunity to act from our Higher Self presents itself.  In the meantime, focus on being very present in where you are and what you are doing.  Breathe it in and embrace it fully.  Trust that even if it doesn’t seem to relate to your goals, that in truth it is all part of the process. Spring is coming!  We just have to let Nature take its course both in the outer world and within our own true nature.

Sending much love to you all!

Branching Out (An introvert’s call to come out from under the bed!)

TreesHave you ever felt like the Universe was pushing you to branch out?  Well, I am feeling it right now.

Along with the family changes with my son moving out-of-state, my parents buying a condo in Florida and my husband and I adopting a new puppy, there has also been a push to move in new directions with my work.

In September, I led my very first spiritual retreat to Sedona, AZ  with twelve other sensitive souls.  This was quite a feat for someone who used to find a half hour in Wal-Mart to be entirely too much stimulation.  In November, I started working more actively with Subtle Energy Beings, Nature Angels, and Crystals which led to my work with attuning crystals as a means to connect with the Spiritual helpers around us.

And now, in two days, I will be sitting at my very own booth doing readings at the Great Conjunction Expo in Hudson, Ohio where my name alone will be on the booth sign.

The actual sign for my table this weekend!

My introvert self is climbing under the bed right now.

I’ll let her hang out there for a little bit, but then I’ll coax her back out.

Why you ask (knowing of course that I am the one doing the asking – note the emphasis on WHY!)?

Because I know deep in my heart that every time I push myself to move into new circumstances and connect with new people, I am always glad I did.  Looking back, I see that is how so many wonderful people are now in my life.  If I’d stayed under the bed, I never would have met them. Nor, frankly, would I be doing this work that I love so much (because stepping out as someone with intuitive abilities was another thing that sent me under the bed for a good long while!).

I’m sharing this because I feel we are all getting the nudge to move into new waters in some form or another.  I have several clients who find themselves looking for a new job or having a long-term relationship end. Many of my colleagues are exploring new avenues in their work too.  Some friends and loved ones are even relocating to new cities, states or even countries.

All of this tells me that I am probably not alone in feeling like climbing under the bed sometimes.  After all, change can be a challenge for even the most hardy of us.  For those of us who are sensitive, even the slightest ripples have an effect.

So how do we navigate the shifting going on in our lives?  For me, it has become a matter of doing my very best to surrender – to trust that my Spirit and Divine helpers will keep me on the path of my highest good, even if my intellect has no idea what that path is.

I am also finding being kind to myself helps.  As much as I would like to just stroll through life shifts without batting an eye, that just doesn’t seem to be how I’m wired.  Accepting that, and being kind to myself through the process, seems to make things a little easier.

Reaching out helps too.  Thank you to Polly and Debbie who so kindly offered to help out this weekend at my booth.  Just knowing they will be there to support me has made a huge difference!  Thank you also to those in my community who have promised to come see me, those who have helped me figure out all the details for having a booth, and those who have sent me encouraging messages!  I am very grateful for you all.  I am also grateful to my Spiritual Support Team (my Angels and Spirit Guides) who keep assuring me they have this all under control.  I am so glad that someone does.  They also promise that I will be meeting many new and wonderful friends while I’m there.  I hope you are one of them!

So, in closing, I’m glad you are joining me on this journey of branching out.  So nice to know there will be other “branches” to bump into out there!

Sending much love to you all!

Nancy

Metaphor and Letting Go

waterfallAs many of you know, I love metaphor.  I was an English major in college and I was fascinated by the layers of meaning in what I read.  When I encountered Joseph Campbell in 2000, I was so excited to read his observations about myth and how those stories reflect the stories that play out in our lives.

In my life today, my work is all about metaphor. When I ask for guidance for someone, most often I am shown a little “story” – a metaphor for what is happening in their life from a spiritual perspective.  The image is symbolic and my job is to unravel the symbols to find the meaning.

Last night, metaphor came to visit in a big and very blatant way.

In my own personal experience, I have been going through the end of a phase of my life. On one level, it is the end of my time as a mother to a little child.  My son’s journey into adulthood brings with it the opportunity to move into a new role with him, but as with all new beginnings, the ending that occurs requires its due.  The other ending is in aspects of my personality and relationships which have been tied to my South Node.  I’ve mentioned the book Astrology for the Soul by Jan Spiller before and that is what I’m referring to with South Node.  I’ve found myself using that book quite a lot to understand myself (and those I work with), what I’m here to learn, and also what vehicle I am driving to live my life purpose.  Even though the book is written about the North Node aspect in the astrological chart, I have actually found what it shares about my horoscope sign (sun sign) to resonate incredibly well with what I am experiencing of myself.  All of this has shown me quite clearly that those old patterns of how I relate to others and myself are at an end.  This too, then is another ending, and also requires its due.

With all of this going on, I am repeatedly guided to let go of the deeply repressed emotions that I have done my best to ignore.  Apparently, as last night’s metaphor confirmed, I have finally reached the needed inner commitment to let the repressed emotions flow!

Yesterday, I’d listened to a couple of CD’s by Jill Mattson called Healing Flower Symphonies.  The music is created to bring the healing properties of the Bach Flower remedies to the emotional self.  The way it is designed is to help release any of the unpleasant aspects of the emotion and then replace it with its positive aspect.  While listening, I had some releasing occur, but it wasn’t until later on that it really came to the surface bringing lots of spontaneous crying and deep emotional purging.

And this brings me back to the topic of metaphor and last night’s experience.  Around 2 AM, I was having a dream about a gateway or door I was trying to open.  As I reached out to turn the handle and pull open the door, I apparently also opened the stopper on the hot water bottle I was sleeping with.  Moments later, I awoke to warm water pouring over me and soaking into the bed!

After a great deal of disorientation and frantic scrambling to clean up the mess, I found myself laughing.  What a beautiful metaphor and message to my conscious self!  I had finally figured out how to open the door to all the emotions that had been held down.  The floodgates were open and the warm relief of knowing it was all finally being let go washed over me.

So, if you too have repressed emotions that you are ready to release – or if you are in a stage of life when it is time to grief what is over so you can embrace what is new – you might want to check out the Healing Flower Symphonies by Jill Mattson.  They certainly worked for me!

With much love and gratitude,

Nancy

PS.  If you’d like some insight into how the Astrology for the Soul information can help you gain insights into who you are, send me an email. I have been doing 30 and 60 minute sessions for those in my community working with their North Node and Sun Sign this month, and the insights have been fascinating.

Morning Musings – Guidance for the Day

Good Morning! I asked for some guidance for today and thought I’d share what came through.  I hope you find it helpful.

live oak rootsVision

I see myself sitting by a tree near a river.  As I watch, I can feel myself trying to push back into the tree.  I push and push and suddenly I am inside!  I find myself looking out at the river and the woods as easily as I did outside of the tree.  The difference is I feel very relaxed and safe.

Message

This morning in my meditation I had an idea.  What would it be like to be worry-free?  I have always been someone who worries.  There are times when I worry less than others, but there has always been some worry lurking in me somewhere.  When I asked about if this was possible, I heard to smile more, drink more water, and turn all my worries over to the Divine as soon as they come up.  If there is some action I need to take, my Spiritual Support Team (Angels, Spirit Guides) will motivate me to do it! This image makes me think of that.  For me, trees are perfect sanctuaries and that is what the Divine is for us too.  We can smile, relax, and be in the moment we are in and when worries come up, remember to ask our Angels and the Divine to take it off our hands.

Affirmation

Today, I choose to be worry-free!  I am relaxed, peaceful, and grateful for the Divine love and support that surrounds me in every moment.  I pray it is so, and so it is!

Wishing you a peaceful, worry-free day!

Nancy

Grow Your Gifts Meditation – Coming Home

Sedona 2014 130
I remember who I am today and open my heart with joy to the wonderful self I discover.

I am back home from Sedona! We had a really transformational time yet again. For many of us, the retreat was all about “coming home” – not just to this place that feels like home or even to the group of people who have become like family, but having the experience of coming home to ourselves. The image was taken on the Cow Pies Trail in Sedona at the beginning of our vortex tour with Jaap Van Etten (http://www.lemurantis.com). For each of the groups who went on the tour, the experience was unique and called them to different vortexes and experiences. All though, helped us to remember who we really are.

I will be offering two opportunities to work with this experience this week: 10/5  at 7PM EST Crossroads Coaching Community Empowerment Call where we will be doing a guided meditation to connect to this magical place and 10/8 at 6:30-8PM EST for a full moon Earth Wisdom Circle gathering in Sharon Center Ohio where we will connect with nature, a seventh chakra vortex, and our Spiritual Support Team through intuitive insight! You can learn more and register here if you are interested (Sunday 10/5 is the deadline for both):  October Events

To work with this image, I would recommend imagining yourself walking down the path before you. See where your imagination leads and what insights your intuition offers about your true self!

Below are some simple directions to support your journey.  Enjoy!

Grow Your Gifts Meditation- Breaking Through

Happy September!

We are moving into a new season this month and many ways I feel this is a metaphor for where we are going within ourselves.  Walls seem to be crumbling around structures and perceptions.  Suddenly, it feels like there is a huge push to just be who we are!  It sounds simple enough, but so often we get challenged when we really start to step fully into all of the song that is us.  For me, it feels like a testing to keep strengthening the pathways within my psyche.  It is also allowing us to really love and get to know aspects that we have formally repressed.

For me, the Fool archetype has been coming forward.  I have a wonderful book called Awakening the Heroes Within by Carol Pearson.  I’ve done the Heroic Mythic Index many times and consistently I had the highest score for Ruler and Magician and a very low score for Fool.  Feeling foolish or embarrassing myself was pretty close to the worst thing I could imagine when I was younger.  Now, I’m finding this huge itch to laugh more, play more, and to all around just lighten up!  Life is full of things to worry about and my guess is that it always will be.  Yet, the Fool reminds us that we can still laugh at it all and find the joy in the moment.  We can be silly and play and still be okay.  This photo is here to help empower the opening of the walls we have built to keep emotions at bay.  As we open to our own feelings and deeper self, we open to the Divine and a steady stream of love from our own Spirit, a place where we are always safe.

Here is an image taken in Northern Ireland and some tips on how to use it to empower yourself:

"I am breaking through my walls of fears to discover the wonder of my true self."

Grow Your Gifts Meditation – Tranquility with the Irish Sea

I relax into a sea of tranquility. All is well in my world.
I relax into a sea of tranquility. All is well in my world.

I just got back from a two-week trip to Northern Ireland with my family. My parents took the whole clan to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary (congrats Mom and Dad!). This was the view from the place we stayed on the Irish Sea in Carnlough. Ireland was very lovely, but this was one of my favorite spots because it was so peaceful. You can use the guidance below to connect to its energy through meditation.
