I used Ted Andrew’s oracle card deck, The Nature-Speak Oracle for this week’s Crossroads Coaching Soul Friends Members weekly reading. The first card that fell out was Dandelion with a keynote of “Persist in Pursuits.” Here is part of the message, “This tenacious plant reminds us to persist. Don’t give up just because others do not understand or feel something may not be beneficial or because they are unable to see beyond the surface. If you persist, you will succeed.”
When I prayed on this a bit more, I realized that for me it is speaking to the new work I have been doing. As we step out of the traditional approach to how things are created and start embracing the truth of quantum physics – that we are co-creating our world with the Divine, not that we are at the mercy of it – there is bound to be resistance from others (and from within ourselves). Why? Because it is difficult to loosen our grip on what we consider “concrete reality” because there is a lot of fear that the only way to stay safe is to keep doing what worked in the past or to stay entrenched in the story we believe is reality.
I feel strongly though that the way to heal the Earth and ourselves is to continue challenging all the “beliefs” that keep us locked in a paradigm of struggle. For example, what if we were truly able to change our belief that our natural world is in crisis? Would it exist if we no longer believed in it? If all reality is malleable, then isn’t that also a reality that can change? I know this is hard to grasp and I am not advocating that we pollute our world and not care about what we are doing. I am just suggesting that maybe, the way things can change isn’t going to come through our trying to fix the problem through methodology based on old scientific principles. Maybe it is going to come from our fixing our beliefs. If we are the writers of the movie we are experiencing, then why can’t we write a different story of our world?
I believe we can, but it is going to take persistence. We have to continue to pay attention to our thoughts and feelings, those that aren’t in alignment with our Spirit. We need to work through them until we discover what underlying belief is holding us hostage to a paradigm that no longer supports us. Then we need to use all the tools available to us to shift that belief until we no longer hold it as true.
And what if others don’t choose to do this? Will it only change if we all believe it? I have a theory that we are each experiencing the movie we are choosing to write. That means that my movie and yours aren’t the same. So if I change my script, then I believe my story line will change. The environment and Earth I experience may potentially become different from the one you experience. Again, this is based on the idea that there is no “fixed” reality. We are creating all of it as we interact with it. I am beginning to feel that the way isn’t to change the opinions of everyone, but instead to change our own and allow the reality we experience to mirror what we believe.
Too radical? Maybe, or maybe this is a chance to break free of paradigms based on an old energetic set up. Maybe we are getting a chance to write a new story, one in which we are powerful co-creators in a benevolent world where struggle and sacrifice are replaced by creativity and joy.
And as Greg Kuhn says is Why Quantum Physicists Do Not Fail, being willing to just admit that “maybe” this could be true is enough be begin creating a shift. After all, a lot can happen with even a mustard seed of belief…or in this case a dandelion of one.
Wishing you all much love!
